belts DJ cinturones

Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson is not only the best pound for pound fighter in MMA, but he might also be the most humble champion in UFC history. Johnson is an overall nice guy and it seems like the UFC has been taking advantage of that for a few years. In addition to not giving him the promotion he deserves as the most dominant champion ever, it seems like he is the only champion that has not received new belts each time he has defended the title.

Demetrious Johnson has defended the flyweight championship nine times, but it seems like the UFC only gave him the one belt he won and then returned it after his first defense against John Dodson back in 2013. As Johnson himself explains in the video below, the company owes him some damn belts. It looks like he was under the impression the company was giving him the same treatment as everybody else, but he recently found out Daniel Cormier has three and Michael Bisping has two.

“I’m getting pissed off about this, I saw Daniel Cormier has three belts! So Dana White, WME-IMG, whoever the owner ir or whoever that writes the checks, give me eight damn belts, please. I only got one belt and I have to share it with two of my kids.”

Johnson’s nine defenses to date:
