Angela Lee is currently the undisputed atomweight champion for ONE Championship. However, in the latest edition of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Angela expressed her interest on a potential move to the UFC and a superfight with Joanna Jedrzejczyk, the current strawweight champion of the UFC.

Angela ‘Unstoppable’ Lee says that although she is an atomweight she fights at 115 pounds (which is the limit for strawweights in the UFC), so she feels making weight would not be a problem for her. Lee has an undefeated record of 7-0 and one defenses of her belt. Joanna is also undefeated in MMA at 13-0 and four title defenses. If they can both win their upcoming battles and hold on to their belts, a potential fight between them down the line could not be ruled out.

Angela shared her thoughts on the matter:

“It’s something that I’m all open for. I think that it would be a really great opportunity for me. Every day I’m just learning and growing and evolving even more as a fighter. And so it would be a really great fight. I would definitely look forward to that.”

Angela also says that she keeps track of the strawweight division of the UFC. She doesn’t claim to be able to move in and stomp the competition, but she does feel she could hang with the best of them.

“I think that because the UFC is the major organization here in North America, a lot of time people don’t pay as much attention to the other organizations. I think when I watch the fighters fight, I don’t necessarily talk like that, but I know that I can hang with them. I’m pretty confident in my skillset that I could do well.”

Angela is currently under contract with ONE Championship and hopes the promotion can keep bringing in competitive fighters to her division before considering looking at other options.
